Skyharbour Resources Ltd. (SYH:TSX.V; SYHBF:OTCQB) announced in a news release that its partner Azincourt Energy received all of the necessary permits to diamond drill this year at the East Preston uranium project in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin.
Azincourt has the option to earn 70% of East Preston by spending CA$3.5 million on it over three years.
To carry out the winter drill program, Azincourt engaged Bryson Drilling. Mobilization of the drill rig should start later this week, with drilling scheduled to begin later in January.
The CA$1.2 million diamond drill campaign planned for East Preston will focus on prospective targets in the Five Island Lakes area. Up to 15 holes at up to 10 pad locations, covering 2,000–2,500 meters, are slated for drilling. "The majority of proposed holes will test multiple subparallel electromagnetic conductors (A zone and B zone conductor corridors) in an area of marked structural disruption," the release noted.
Also, two holes may be drilled in the prospective Swoosh zone, located along strike about 5 kilometers southwest of the A zone.
All targets have been defined through analysis of data from the 2019 drill program, the 2018 and 2019 ground-based electromagnetic and gravity surveys and the air-based versatile time-domain electromagnetic and magnetic surveys, the company noted.
