A lack of sufficient investment in new natural gas supplies and delays remain a major problem in most markets, the International Energy Agency said in a report released yesterday.

'Investment uncertainties, cost increases and delays continue to be a major problem in most gas markets and are continuing to constitute a threat to long-term security of supply,' Nobuo Tanaka, IEA executive director, was quoted as saying in a statement issued by the IEA.
